Selfiie is a company dedicated to empowering patients to take control of their health.
We begin by enabling patients to quickly and easily gather and store their own health records from anywhere they exist in electronic form.
We provide an app (aka PHA, or personal health app) free of charge to patients that not only will enable the retrieval of records, but will allow patients to use and share their records as they see fit.
Besides the Selfiie PHA, the company also operates the Cures Gateway, a secure network of connections to patient medical records data sources that only a verified patient can use to ensures that each patient user is fully verified and that only they can request and receive their own records. Not only does the Cures Gateway enable users of the Selfiie PHA to retrieve their own records, but the Cures Gateway allows users of any authorized PHA to securely connect to our network and get their own records. In order for PHAs to get on the Cures Gateway they need to apply and then get vetted insuring they meet stringent criteria for patient identity verification and that they are first and foremost a PHA used by patients for their own benefit.

Safety & Privacy
Cures Gateway is part of a nationwide network of health information exchanges (HIEs) created to comply with the 21st Century Cures Act (Cures Act). Not every healthcare app connected to Cures Gateway is covered by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). It’s important that patients understand how their selected app uses and shares their data before they decide.
